Tim & Janet Field
Founders

Founders
Following academic careers in teaching and computer science(respectively) at the University of Georgia, Tim and Janet sized upon an opportunity to enter the world of publishing and printing. In 1986, the old McGregor Printing Company in downtown Athens was purchased and re-located to a new building on Cedar Shoals Drive. Over the years, as the commercial side of the company expanded under the ownership of Chan and Collin, Tim and Janet continued to develop books and journals related to the field of forensic rehabilitation consulting (identified as Elliott and Fitzpatrick, Inc.). Currently, Tim and Janet are retired from Athens Printing Company, although still active in the rehabilitation profession through publishing and limited consulting.

Chan is a long time Athenian, print shop veteran and active member of the Bulldog Nation. He grew up in the family business making deliveries and generally helping around the print facility. After attending UGA and the Terry College of Business, Chan moved to Washington, D.C. for professional and personal development. He moved back to Athens due to a change in company management in 1993 and eventually assumed the role as Operations Manager. He resides in Watkinsville with his wife Stephanie and 2 fantastic kids Sydney and Ben. During his free time, Chan enjoys attending UGA sports events, hiking, exercising, plans as many trips to the beach as possible (his happy place) and cooking for family and friends.

Stephanie is a native of Savannah who came to Athens to attend UGA. She met Chan during graduate school, and they married in 1996. She joined the APC team as Personnel Coordinator in 1999 and now manages the day-to-day finances of the company. You can find Stephanie at local Chamber of Commerce and community events representing APC. Stephanie enjoys volunteering at Athens Church, her children’s school, Chi Omega Sorority, Make-A-Wish Georgia and other local non-profit organizations.

Kelsey is APC’s resident yankee and customer service extraordinaire. Around the shop you can find her assisting customers & running the digital presses. Outside of work there is nothing Kelsey loves more than sipping on a chai latte while watching Netflix with her dog Molly.

Brooke is APC’s utility player. She mostly handles promotional products and customer service, but also helps out with digital production, social media, and marketing. When she isn’t running around the shop, she spends her time with her family, her animals, reading anything non-fiction, and working in the yard.

Austin is just your typical sales and ops guy. He’s loud, fun and always has a solution. Austin’s focus around the print shop is on helping clients through the creative and production process of all projects, both large and small. He’s one of those guys that attended UGA and never wanted to leave Athens so now he calls himself a real Athenian. While at UGA he studied communications and public relations, which proves extremely useful in this line of work. When he isn’t talking, or causing commotion at APC you can most likely find him planning a trip, cooking, exercising, or reading another book to add to his library.

Laura, a native Athenian, enjoys being a member of a locally owned business and giving back to the community in which she has a strong passion for. She is a graphic designer holding a BFA in Art with a concentration in Graphic Design from Georgia Southern University. Laura specializes in creative design, preparation of files for digital and offset printing, and assisting clients to successfully create visual solutions. Outside of work, Laura enjoys hiking trips with her husband and exercising their two energetic dogs.

Wendy is a graphic designer. She has been with APC for over 9 years. Wendy’s focus is to design and prepare customer files for offset or digital printing. Wendy was born and raised in the Tar Heel state where she attended Meredith College in Raleigh and earned a BA in Art with a concentration in Graphic Design. She has called Athens home now for over 18 years. When she isn’t being creative at work you can bet she is playing with her 2 dogs or DIYing.

Melanie handles all of Athens Printing Company’s invoicing, accounts payable, and shipping needs. When she isn’t at work, she is most likely spending time with her animals or enjoying live music.

Chris is customer service oriented, handling mostly offset printing accounts and the estimating of print jobs. He started off in the printing industry through graphic design before transitioning into customer service. In his free time, Chris enjoys photography, writing and occasional baking.

Owner
Collin, raised in the printshop, wears many hats. He oversees production and runs and maintains the equipment. Collin is a former Sergeant in the Marine Corps, and served in Iraq. Outside of work he likes finding fun things to do with his family, woodworking, and anything outside.

Al is our resident bindery and finishing expert. He’s responsible for coordinating with our print team to manage the final steps of a print order such as folding, booklet making, perforating and scoring, and much more. In his free time, Al volunteers at his local church and enjoys trying out new restaurants around town with his wife.

Sergio is APC’s self-starter. He keeps busy fulfilling a wide variety of jobs on our two color presses and helps when needed in our wide format & bindery departments. Sergio has a great eye for color and manages small format offset print orders for our clients. Outside of work you can find him watching or playing soccer with his buddies and spending time with his family and two dogs.
